Who are we?

House of Hope Kansas City is a Christian-based nonprofit residential therapeutic home for hurting teenage girls ages 12-17. Our campus has licensed counselors; an onsite accredited school, Hope Academy, in partnership with the Basehor-Linwood School District. Also at the proper time, parental involvement will be required. We also provide outpatient counseling for boys, girls, and their families.

Throughout our programs, hurting teens experience the transforming power of love through non-denominational Christian counseling and education. Teens will learn the tools to overcome negative influences, and become functioning and contributing members of society.

GOALS

  • To rescue hurting, runaway teenagers from the destructive forces invading society.

  • To serve these teenagers offering them hope and a future through love, Christian counseling, teaching and education based on God’s Word.

  • To assist in healing the hurts and scars from these teenagers’ pasts.

  • To help free hurting teenagers from the negative influences upon their daily lives.

  • To teach teenagers the life skills in order to prepare them to become solid citizens and contributing members of society.

  • To provide a temporary home, a safe harbor, where teenagers are nourished and protected from the ways of the street, until they can be reconciled with their family.

  • To restore and heal the entire family unit, whenever possible.

  • To serve each resident with respect and unconditional love as demonstrated directly to the teenager and among the staff.

  • Your help through prayer, volunteering and financial support make all of this possible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts . We are excited to see what God has in store . House of Hope KC has capacity for 24 girls but eventually hopes to expand to be able to serve more girls and families
