Do you love what we do at Starfish Project Foundation and also have a soft spot for a specific population? If so, that’s great! Now you have the opportunity to request which program gets your contribution dollars. Below are some of the wonderful projects to pick from. If you don’t, that is great too, feel free to select the “where you need it most” option.

*Support our relocation efforts: once a new location is identified, additional equipment will need to be purchased, installed and items relocated from the old location.

*Resource Preservation Project: In 2023, we keep 1.6 million dollars worth of food out of our landfill and put it back into our community. Along with food, we pride ourselves on educating people on how to preserve and share our resources with those in need. Even when something has seen its full potential and is ready to be discarded, there is almost always a better way than just putting it in the landfill.

*The sustainability of our community center, which we call “The Beach” and all the services we provide for free. We want to continue providing all of our services to the community at no cost. To do so, we rely heavily on donor and sponsor support. These items include utilities, needed equipment and support.

*Help us fight childhood hunger in the KC Metro: Dunkin’ Joy Foundation presented us a check of $10,000 on Wednesday, November 20th. We aim to provide 36,000 meals and Weekend Meal Packs for local children in need here in the KC Metro and welcome your matching donations to help us meet that goal.

*Giving Dignity back to our children: Raleen’s Kids, puts full-sized toiletry bags in our school offices, so the day a child is identified as needing them, supplies are available. Items can be placed in a discreet bag, sent home with the children and the next day they can go back to school with Dignity.

*Personal Finance Education Center: Janis R Dickey, PhD and her years of experience diligently work to bring financial literacy to our children and schools. We are excited to educate our children on the basics of finances and how they impact your quality of life as you grow into adulthood and beyond.

*Bailee’s Closet: Bailee’s Closet was created in July 2019 to provide clothing to foster care and abused children, as well as victims of domestic violence. However, the charity evolved to also provide relief to families struck by various crises, such as those affected by disasters, illness, and even the economic challenges resulting from the pandemic.

*Where we need it most: allow us to use the contributions where we need it most.
