The genesis of The Compass Experience came about during founder Bill Synder’s time working in the urban core, a term he prefers to the popular term inner city as he views the areas as the heart of America. During that time he saw good, smart young men get in bad situations over and over, sometimes ending in a funeral he would attend. These young people not only needed jobs, but the skills and knowledge of how to make careers as well as good choices.He looked for solutions and found that money and programs alone did nothing to alleviate the overall problem. Bill found that relationship is the venue that influence flows through. That idea is what lead him to forming the core concept of The Compass Experience. A leadership academy that focuses on personal relationships to educate.

Class Experience
Young men and women will not succeed in business unless they are taught common fundamentals. This is a starting place before they are placed in businesses.
Building Relationships
Students are provided opportunities to associate with like minded piers, business professionals, and positive role models in weekly sessions.
Work Experience
Helping students obtain a job where they can learn invaluable working skills and also teach them what it takes to maintain a position in a company.
Further Education
Students are then taught through classroom teachings and on the job experience the processes and systems needed to run a successful business.
