Tempered Steel

Tempered Steel is a 501(c)3 Public Charity that is educating the public on the stories behind the scars and wounds of war. To accomplish our goals, Tempered Steel sends its severely wounded military members from the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars to speak to schools, community groups and corporations about their very personal stories of injury and recovery.
They break down barriers while revealing they are still caring human beings with feelings, wants, desires and needs. Their circumstances and resulting injuries changed their appearances and physical abilities, but a beauty lies beneath brought through by their perseverance to survive and a self-acceptance of their injuries.
