Everyone can work.   Employment is an integral part of defining one’s self and maximizing independence.  Employment should be the first and preferred option for adults and Skills to Succeed is committed to assisting individuals in discovering their pathway toward successful and meaningful work.

• Assessment – STS utilizes assessments as a method of providing direction related to a person’s goals, interests and strengths so that these areas can be expanded upon to increase employability and maximize success in the workplace.
• Preparation – Each person’s needs related to employment are unique, but some will find that focused preparation can increase options and improve skills.  Preparation can include job-specific skills, general skills or socialization.
• Placement – Finding the right job is an important aspect of maintaining employment.  There are a number of factors that impact success including environment, hours, job duties, location, etc.  STS provides assistance in finding the right niche for a person based on their own unique preferences and needs. 
• Coaching – Once employment is obtained, some individuals may benefit from assistance in initial orientation, learning new job skills or tasks and navigating workplace culture.  Job coaching is a great way to start a new job off on the right foot and to assist individuals with various challenges or changes along the way. 
• Support – Changes in the workplace can have an impact on job performance.  Initial training is important, but ongoing support can increase longevity and improve job satisfaction.  STS wants to see individuals continue to be satisfied with their work and utilizes ongoing support to ensure this outcome.
