Who We are
The Sally Maina Foundation is a non profit organization based in Nyeri-Central Kenya. Founded in April 2014, it currently focuses its efforts on education and well being assistance to the children in elementary schools from less privileged families and communities in Nyeri county and its immediate surroundings.
The organization has a forward focus of becoming a fully fledged NGO and extending footprints beyond Nyeri to other counties and eventually to the entire country and beyond.
All the initiatives of this foundation are currently privately funded by the founder, board members, friends and well wishers.
We are registered in the republic of Kenya as a Community Based Organization (CBO),and are also incorporated in the state of Kansas-USA.
Mission
To provide assistance and support to bright children from less privileged backgrounds by giving essentials of daily comfort such as food and clothing, and to provide access to education through scholarship programs. We also aim to provide a platform for these children, their parents and guardians for self empowerment, health awareness, screening and improvement.
Vision
To achieve development and self sustenance, to instill peace and confidence for the future through education and positive transformation of lives.
